Enyimba were defeated 2-0 by Egypt’s Al Masry in their CAF Confederation Cup Group D match in Ismaila on Wednesday night.

Mahmoud Hamada put the home side ahead just five minutes into the game, and sealed the victory for Al Masry with another goal 14 minutes from the final whistle.

Enyimba struggled to pose a threat to the hosts’ defense for most of the match, with goalkeeper Ani Ozoemena making several key saves to keep the scoreline from being more damaging.

Enyimba’s next match in the competition will see them host defending champions Zamalek on Sunday, December 8.
