Kwara United produced a spirited display to edge out holders RS Berkane of Morocco 3-1 in their CAF Confederation Cup first-round, first-leg contest at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos, on Sunday.

RS Berkane proved too difficult to handle for the Harmony Boys early in the encounter watched by a large crowd at the beautiful ground.

The hosts went behind on seven minutes when Burkina Faso forward Cheick Djibril Ouattara fired home from inside the box.
