CAF Confederation Cup: Rivers United off to Brazzaville for Diables Noirs clash

Players and officials of Nigerian champions, Rivers United have departed for Brazzaville ahead of Sunday’s CAF Confederation Cup clash against CSMD Diables Noirs.

The contingent left the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, via ASKY Airline at around 10:25 am on Friday.

The Group B encounter against the Congolese side is billed for the Alphonse Massamba-Debat Stadium, Brazzaville.

DC Motema Pembe of Democratic Republic of Congo and Cote d’Ivoire’s ASEC Mimosa will clash in the other group game.

The top two teams in the group will proceed to the quarter-finals.

Rivers United are looking to become the first Nigerian club to win the CAF Confederation Cup.
