CAF Won’t Make 2025 AFCON Host Announcement In Kigali

As the bidding countries wait patiently, the African soccer governing has made it known that the country that will host the 2025 African Cup of Nations will not be announced in Kigali.

The original host Guinea was stripped off of the hosting right after they failed to meet up with the standard requirement of facilities.

FIFA will be having its congress in Kigali the capital of Rwanda on the 13th of March and the bidding countries are already hoping to hear the official announcement on the day.

While South Africa, Algeria, Morocco, Zambia and the Benin-Nigeria duo are hoping to secure the hosting right, CAF would indeed still await the inspection reports of the independent audit firm responsible for inspecting the various countries.

The official announcement may likely take place on the 13th of July in Cotonou, Benin Republic during CAF Congress.
