CAFCC: Rivers United Arrive In Nigeria From Libya

After securing its place in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup, Rivers United has arrived in the country from Libya.

The NPFL champions on Wednesday held Libyan side, Al Nasr to a 1-1 draw in a keenly contested 2nd leg encounter in Benghazi.

The Pride of Rivers progressed to the group stage of the competition 6-1 on aggregate having won the first leg 5-0 last week at the Adokiye Amasiamaka Stadium in Port-Harcourt.

They departed Libya on Thursday morning and arrived in Abuja, Nigeria on Friday afternoon.

They now await their group-stage opponents in the competition, as the draw is billed to take place on the 16th of November in Cairo, Egypt.
