Ahead of the second leg match of the CAF Confederation Cup playoff rounds, Nigeria’s representative Rivers United has concluded plans to depart the country on Sunday.
The Nigeria champions on Wednesday at the Adokiye Amasiamaka Stadium defeated Al Nasr of Libya 5-0 to put one foot in the group stage.
Since the first leg game, the ‘Pride of Rivers’ has intensified its preparations for the second leg.
According to the update from the team’s camp, the team will depart Abuja on Sunday and will have a brief stop-over in Cairo, Egypt before reaching Libya.
The game against Al Nasr is slated for Wednesday and the winner over two-leg fixture will go into the group stage draw that will take place on the 16th of November.
