Calabar Rovers Fed Cup Fxture Affects NNL Matches

The involvement of Calabar Rovers FC in this year’s semi-finals of the Federation Cup has occasioned a shift in date for some week 10 matches in the second-tier division, Nigerian National League (NNL).

This much has been disclosed by NNL media officer, Amar Ignis, who told that the week 10 matches in the southern conference will now hold this Tuesday in various venues.

Ignis disclosed that the games affected in this regard are those from Group B3, which will all now hold simultaneously, in accordance with a pre-championship agreement that all last weekend games will take place at the same time across the country, to avoid any likely instances of match fixing.

While affirming that the final round of matches, Game day 10 for the regular season continued on Sunday, July 7, in the Southern Conference, Ignis also used the opportunity to reel out some results from Saturday’s fixtures.

He added: “Group B3, The group’s last games earlier scheduled for Sunday 07-07-19 will now be played on Tuesday-09-07-19,this is following the involvement of Rovers of Calabar in the Aiteo Cup and in keeping with the idea to see all group games end same day. Ekiti United,Gateway United ,Nnewi United and Dynamites FC ,should please take note.
