Championship: Ekong Scores, Kalu Returns As Watford Smashed Luton Town 4-0

Nigerian defender William Troost-Ekong scored his first goal of the season as Watford FC smashed Luton 4-0 in the English Championship on Sunday afternoon.

Watford FC manager Slaven Billic named the Nigerian defender in the starting XI at Vicarage road.

Keinan Davis opened the scoring for the Hornets in the 3rd minute. Ekong doubled the lead on the stroke of 45 minutes to hand Watford FC a 2-0 first half lead.

Portuguese star Joao Pedro scored the third goal before Senegalese forward Ismaila Sarr completed the 4-0 rout of Luton.

Local bragging rights in the bag for Watford FC who recover from a 3-0 Millwall drubbing to secure a win in from of their fans.

Ekong and Watford FC sit 10th on the English Championship table with 23 points.

Despite an impressive start in charge of Watford FC, Slaven Billic has endured a dissapointing run and will be boosted by the victory over Luton.

Ekong’s Nigerian teammates Maduka Okoye and Samuel Kalu were named on the substitute bench, Kalu an 85th minute substitute in the derby clash.
