CHAN 2022: Sudan Walk Over Morocco As Madagascar Stun Ghana

Date:

The African Nations Championship (CHAN) reigning Champions Morocco failed to show up for their match against Sudan on Sunday.

The referees and Sudanese players were at Stade Chahid-Hamlaoui stadium in expectation of the CHAN group C opener but Morocco did not show up.

However, they were walked but CAF was yet to release any statement to confirmed why the team did not showed up for the game. The official table did not show any match being played nor points allotted to Sudan.

Morocco had made their stance to pull out from the competition if Algeria fail to grant their aircraft passage.

The team on Saturday released a photograph that the team was at the airport ready to take their flight for Constantine.

But they did not show up and didn’t not made any formal reasons for their inability to show up for the opening game against Sudan.

Meanwhile, Madagascar shocked Ghana with a 2-1 victory in the only game played on Sunday.

Razafindranavo put Madagascar ahead in the 10th minute before Randrianstiferana doubled the lead in the 61st minute.

Agyapong reduced the deficit for Ghana in the 67 minute to end the game in a 2-1 victory for Southern African country.
