Chelsea battle Spurs, Juve for Brighton’s Cucurella

Date:

Chelsea are locked in battle with Tottenham and Juventus for Brighton & Hove Albion defender Marc Cucurella according to reports.

Following spells at Barcelona and Getafe, the left-back signed for Brighton last summer. It is believed that they paid around £15m to sign him.

Cucurella has been an ever-present for the Seagulls this season, playing 36 times across all competitions.

The Spaniard scored his first Premier League goal earlier this month as Brighton hammered Machester United 4-0.

Tutto Juve (via Sport Witness) are reporting that Chelsea ‘want’ the 23-year-old. It is said that Tottenham and Juventus are also interested in him.

The report adds that the defender is ‘one of the options’ for Chelsea but there is currently ‘nothing concrete’.
