Chelsea are prepared to offer Everton the chance to sign Michy Batshuayi as part of any deal for Anthony Gordon.
Although the West Londoners have already enjoyed a productive transfer window, head coach Thomas Tuchel is known to be in the market for more new signings.
A centre-back and centre-forward are at the top of his priority list with Leicester City’s Wesley Fofana and Barcelona’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang said to be possibilities.
However, on Sunday evening, it emerged that Chelsea held an interest in Everton playmaker Gordon, who has established himself as a key player at Goodison Park.
The 21-year-old played a key role in the Toffees avoiding relegation to the Championship during 2021-22, making a total of 35 appearances.
Chelsea have allegedly already failed with a bid in the region of £40m with Everton reportedly keen to receive at least £50m for their most prized asset.
As it stands, it is unclear whether Chelsea will return with an offer which matches that valuation, but it has been claimed that they are ready to include at least one player in part-exchange.
According to Belgian football reporter Sacha Tavolieri, Tuchel is happy for Batshuayi to move to Merseyside if it helps secure the signature of Gordon.
With Batshuayi having not been provided with a squad number for the current campaign, it is perceived that he is free to depart Stamford Bridge.
Everton boss Frank Lampard is no stranger to the Belgium international having worked with him during his first year in charge of Chelsea.
Lampard is currently in the market for a new frontman with Dominic Calvert-Lewin currently sidelined with a knee injury and Richarlison having signed for Tottenham Hotspur.
Batshuayi spent the most recent season on loan at Besiktas where he contributed 14 goals and five assists in 42 appearances for the Turkish giants.
