Chikweklu Leads Four Falcons’ Stars Direct To China

Kristianstads of Sweden midfielder, Rita Chikwelu is expected alongside three other players to join the Nigerian women national team in China, direct from their bases in Europe.

While 16 players and nine officials made the Falcons’ trip out of Abuja on Monday, they will be joined in China by the quartet of Chikwlu, defender Faith Michael as well as forwards Ini-Abasi Umotong and Chinaza Uchendu, who will all fly fly directly from Europe.

They will all link up at the Chinese city of Meizhou, in the Guangdong Province of the world’s most populous nation on Tuesday evening

During their stay in China, the Falcons will take part in a four-nation competition to kick-start their preparations for the 8th FIFA Women’s World Cup in France this summer.
