Chukwueze seeking to set personal goal record in LaLiga

Samuel Chukwueze will be seeking to score his fourth goal against Barcelona when his club, Villrreal host the league leaders at the Estadio de la Cerámica Sunday evening.

The Nigerian has scored three goals in eight games against the Catalan giants, the joint most (with Levante) he has scored against any team in the LaLiga.

If the 23 year old scores Sunday evening, it will be his fourth and the most he has scored against any team in the LaLiga.

Chukwueze was left on the bench for all 90 minutes when Villarreal went, saw and were battered 3-0 by Barcelona in their first meeting this season last October but the Nigerian will be aiming to make his seventh start in nine appearances against the visitors to the Estadio de la Cerámica Sunday evening.

The Super Eagle has scored once in the LaLiga so far this season and if he scores, it will be his second of the season in 20 games and 17 in 138 LaLiga matches since he made his debut in the competition in November 2018.
