Villarreal of Spain winger, Samuel Chukwueze made the best of a visit by Nigerian pop singe, Peter Okoye (Mr.P) to watch him in action against Granada last weekend, as the Super Eagles’ rookie romped home a goal in the encounter against Ramon Azeez’s club.
Chukwueze had the pleasure of receive ‘Mr.P’ on the pitch before the game, during which he presented a specially branded Villarreal jersey to the former member of defunct twins-group, P-Square, then went on to make hay in his first league match of the new season.
Chukwueze took it up from where he stopped with Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations and in pre-season with The Yellow Submarine, as the youngster rocked the net for his club in front of Mr.P and other fans at their home ground, Estadio de la Cerámica.
However, the 20-year-old star’s 72nd minute goal was only enough to get shared points for his side, as they settled for a thrilling 4-4 draw with Granada, who sent Azeez into the fray in the 69th minute and equalised through Puertas in the 80th.
Villarreal, though, took delight in the presence of Mr. P for the game and took to their official social media handle to celebrate his presence, while hoping they will bounce back better in their second match of the season away to Levante at Estadi Ciutat de Valencia on Friday.
