Chukwueze’s Deal Excites J-Zee’s Roc-Nation

Officials of Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports Agency have stated delight with their ability to sign on fast-rising Villarreal of Spain winger, Samuel Chukwueze to their list of clients and proteges, with a formal stamp now given their offer to have him among their global endorsements.

Chukwueze put pen to paper on Friday with the US-based marketing and promotions firm, which first ventured into sports management with Manchester United striker, Romelu Lukaku and defender, Eric Bailly.

Roc Nation stated after the ceremony that they are honoured to have the 20-year-old Chile 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup revelation, who continues making waves after his debut season with Villarreal in the past La Liga campaign.

He went on to shine for Nigeria in three matches at the Africa Cup of Nations, going to get one of their goals in the 2-1 win against South Africa in the quarter-finals, in which he was voted man of the match.

At Egypt 2019, Chukwueze also became the youngest player to score a goal at this year’s edition of the continental soccer showpiece in The Land of The Pharaohs, all of which set him up to be the first Nigerian and second African player to be signed on Jay Zee’s Roc Nations Sports Agency.

The deal also takes him into the same stable with Borussia Dortmund’s Axel Witsel and Bayern Munich’s Jerome Boateng, on the list of football stars associated with the brand owned by a world renowned rap music artiste, Jay-Z (real name Shawn Corey Carter).

During his breakthrough season in the Spanish LaLiga last season with The Yellow Submarine, Chukwueze scored five goals in 26 games, and he will be hoping to be back in top form with Javier Calleja’s team when they start the new season against Granada upper Saturday, August 17.

Roc Nation took to social media to celebrate their new acquisition, posting: “A ground-breaking new partner along with one of Africa’s brightest young football stars.

“We’re thrilled to welcome #10Manage & @chukwueze_8 to the ⚽️ family! #RocFam. A rising football star for @VillarrealCF & @NGSuperEagles @chukwueze_8 is destined for greatness. #RocFam.”

Chukwueze added a post of his own, and stated: “Excited to announce that with @10manage, we are joining the @rocnationsports family! Big things coming #RocFam.”
