The Lagos Masters Scouting Tournament continued to deliver thrilling football and inspiring stories on Day 3, as European scouts and agents praised the remarkable progress of Nigerian youth football.
Leading the chorus of admiration was Simon Balaz, a prominent Hungarian football agent and international player representative. Balaz, attending his first-ever scouting event in lagos, expressed great satisfaction with both the quality of play and the professionalism of the organization.
“This tournament is an eye-opener,” Balaz said. “I’ve seen players with exceptional strength, creativity, and speed. The technical level is higher than many people in Europe might imagine. If developed well, these boys can compete anywhere in the world.”

The day featured several captivating matches that showcased the vibrant spirit of Lagos football. BGSports FC, Inspire Sports Academy, Box2box FC, and Ojodu city FC all produced spirited performances that had the scouts taking notes and recording names.
Balaz joined other visiting European football figures — including Oleksandr Chaban and Oleksiy Snizhko of LNZ Cherkasy (Ukraine), Evans Quintero of Raal La Louvière (Belgium), and Eni Karakoyun, Sports Director of Bandirmaspor (Turkey) — as they continued their search for standout talents capable of making the leap to European football.
BGSports Management, organizers of the tournament, have earned widespread praise for creating a structured and credible environment for young players aged 16–19 to demonstrate their abilities before international scouts.
Speaking on the ongoing event, BGSports CEO, Ikechukwu Jude, reaffirmed his commitment to connecting Nigerian grassroots talents to global opportunities.
“The dream is to build bridges between local talent and international clubs,” Jude said. “We’re happy to see scouts recognizing the level of potential that exists here. This is just the beginning for many of these players.”
With two more days to go, the Lagos Masters has already produced several names of interest to European clubs, with discussions underway for follow-up scouting reports and future trials.
“I’m confident that some players we’ve seen here will soon be in Europe,” Balaz added. “Nigeria’s football future is bright — and the Lagos Masters is proof of that.
