….As Ben Akwuegbu FC Edge Propel SA 2-1 To Book Semi Final Ticket
Ben Akwuegbu FC goals scoring sensation, Dayo Habib was on the score sheet yet again as his side edged Propel Sporting Academy 2-1 in one of the Plateau state FA Cup quarter final games to book a semi final ticket.
Habib netted what was his 6th goal in his last four matches for the team to ensure Ben Akwuegbu FC advanced at the expense of Propel SA.
Ben Akwuegbu FC will now face defending champions, Plateau United for a place in the final in what promises to be a cracker on Wednesday, March 27.
Why reacting immediately after the match, an obviously excited Ben Akwuegbu who saw the game live at the Zaria Road Stadium, Jos, said it was a difficult match but his side showed their class.
“I’m happy we win the match. It was a difficult game but my side showed their class and deservingly won.

“It could have been more than the 2-1 but for lack of clinical finishing by the players.
“We were 2-0 ahead and hit the woodwork a couple of times before they got their consolatory goal.
“We will now face Plateau United in the semi final and we are optimistic will get the result to take us to the final”, he boasted.
The former Super Eagles striker has a good young side that is well motivated and paid their wages as at when due both that of players and the officials.
In fact, it’s on record that Ben Akwuegbu FC is one of the highest paying NLO sides in the country.
