Delta Set To Host 21st National Sports Festival – Fixes Date For Unveiling Of Festival’s Mascot, Logo

The Delta State Government has reiterated her commitment to the hosting of the 21st National Sports Festival as the best of the festival since its inception.

This was made known by the Secretary to the State Government, (SSG) Chief Patrick Ukah in a press conference organised by the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the festival which he heads as the Chairman.

He asserted that the Asaba 2022 National Sports Festival will be the best of its kind as it will be second to none since the inception of the games in the country since 1973.

The SSG said that the mascot and logo of the festival would be unveiled to the public on April 7, 2022.

Chief Ukah assured that the best facilities would be assembled for the events and proper accommodation for both athletes and officials within the spectrum as provided by the governing principle by the organizers which particularly spelt out maximum 30kilometer radius.

He noted that Delta as a major sporting state in the country, are committed to providing the best for the festival, knowing that the hosting of the event, has a way of enhancing many economic activities which in turn assist the people.

Other dignitaries at the press briefing include, the Co- Chairman and Chairman of Delta State Sports Commission, Chief Tonobok Okowa, the Commissioner for Information, Honourable Charles Aniagwu, Chief Solomon Ogba, Chief Victor Onagagamue, Sir teve Onyeacholam, other members of the Sports Commission Board and the Director General of the Delta State Sports Commission Sir, Chris Anaziah who also doubles as the Secretary of the LOC.
