Delta State League: P Football Academy Whip Mimi FC 2-0

A goal each half was all P Football Academy needed to brush aside Mimi FC 2-0 in a pulsating Delta State League football match played Thursday afternoon at the Model Technical College, Asaba.

The soar away PFA, made their intentions clear right from the blast of the whistle by the referee, as they dominated play from start to finish but for the profligacy of their strikers that failed to take the countless opportunities they created.

But a long range effort by team skipper Lucky Emmanuel and another canon by John Kingsley (Hazard) sealed the game for them as they claimed all three maximum points to run away victors in their game in the league.

Their excited team manager, Uwandi Vincent Kanayo spoke highly of the players as he showered encomiums on them.

“I feel really elated that we won this game. The players were fantastic on the day and I hope they continue in this vein as they have been doing since the club was established.

“We have been winning all our games by high goals margin since January except for the one loss against Coal City of Enugu, which is highly impressive.

He praised the club chairman, Kentoa Precious for his benevolence and astute love for football, which he said is his driving force and reason for his huge investment in the beautiful game.

“My appreciation goes to our chairman who spends his hard earned money to ensure that we don’t lack nothing and that the boys are happy, comfortable and well taken care of.

“The result of a well motivated team is what we are seeing today. It’s all kudos to the Chairman who has made the players’ welfare a top priority”, he said.
