Super Eagles ace Kelechi Iheanacho has given is Leicester City teammates a pat on the back for pulling a draw at the Old Trafford at the weekend.
Iheancho shot the visiting foxes into the lead in the 63rd minute only for Fred to rescue the Reds three minutes later to put result at par.
Iheanacho insists that the foxes dominated the game and deserved to win but quickly added that a draw at the Old Trafford was not a bad result for the input made.
“It was a good performance from us,” Iheanacho told LCFC TV.
“It wasn’t that good in the first half, but we were okay building up from the back. In the second half, we were better, we moved the ball quickly and we got in good positions. We got the goal so it was a great performance [in the second half].
“Obviously, we dominated the game in the second half. We got them running and the chances kept coming. I think we were better in the second half. We wanted to win the game but it’s not a bad one, getting a draw at Old Trafford, so we’ll take that and get ready for the next games.”
Brendan Rodgers’ men are unbeaten in their last five games against the 20-time English champions and will be looking forward to returning to winning ways when they host Crystal Palace in continuation of the premier league. The former Manchester City forward who joined the Foxes in 2017 has made over 116 appearances for the side with 24 goals to his credit.
