Drogba laments over Chelsea’s ‘difficult’ moment on ownership takeover

Date:

Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba, has revealed he is having a tough time seeing the club go through such a ‘difficult’ takeover process.

The club’s owner Roman Abramovich was sanctioned last month as a result of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Abramovich is in the process of selling Chelsea, with several bids already going in from various consortiums around the world.

On the matter, Drogba told Reuters – via football.london: “It’s difficult to see the club in such a situation, but I’m not going to talk much about it because of the situation itself and I feel for the fans.

“I also feel for fans, for the club and for all the people working there.”
