Drogba’s £6.25million Surrey house up for sale

Date:

Premier League legend Didier Drogba has put his six-bedroom, 11,000 square foot mansion in Surrey up for sale, with house hunters able to own the property for £6.25million.

Widely-regarded as one of the greatest players in Chelsea’s history, Drogba made 381 appearances for the Blues across two separate spells at the club and scored 164 goals. He won the Premier League on four occasions, alongside the Champions League, four FA Cups and three League Cups.

However, despite his second stint at Stamford Bridge ending in 2015, the Ivorian has continued to own a house on the esteemed Crown Estate in Oxshott – located close to Chelsea’s Cobham training ground.

But now the 44-year-old is selling the property which includes six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, five reception rooms, a leisure complex and large swimming pool.

The pool offers a view of the expansive garden courtesy of bi-folding doors, while the leisure complex also features a sauna and jacuzzi.

The listing on Fine & Country reads: ‘On the ground floor, five primary reception rooms are centered around a grand reception hall with sweeping staircase leading to all floors.

‘To the front is a study and multipurpose reception room, and to the back is a sensational dual aspect drawing room of huge proportions, family room and large open plan kitchen, equipped with modern built-in appliances and central island for casual dining, leading through to a delightful high roofed orangery.

‘Set behind electric gates, the property sits on just under one acre of land. A large driveway offers ample parking and a two storey, multi-vehicle garage which provides further accommodation with a one bedroom, one bathroom apartment.

‘To the rear is a south facing landscaped garden, with manicured lawns stretching out from a terrace area off the main house a fabulous spot for relaxation and entertaining.’
