D’Tigers’ FIBA World Cup List Out On Tuesday

The final squad list of Nigeria’s men’s senior basketball national team, D’Tigers for this year’s FIBA World Cup in China will emerge on Tuesday, at the end of their participation in a build-up invitational tournament, starting on Thursday.

The team, which departed Lagos aboard Emirate Airline arrived in China on Wednesday night before proceeding to Yangzhou for their outing in the Peak Invitational International, which ends on Tuesday, after which the head coach, Alex Nwora will reel out his squad list for China 2019.

Nwora is with 15 players in China, buit needs to drop three before the FIBA Mundial, which begins on August 31st, ahead of which D’Tigers will compete against fellow-World Cup bound Iran, Montenegro and Poland at the invitational competition, where they intend to perfect their plans.

The Nigerian team’s final squad of 12 players will be released four days before their first game of China 2019, against Russia on Saturday, 31st of August, after which the former African champions, whose last outing at the FIBA World Cup was 2006, will also play Argentina and Korea.
