D’Tigress of Nigeria will slug it out with Senegalese Lioness in the final of 2023 FIBA Afrobasket Championship in Kigali, Rwanda.
The outclassed hosts Rwanda 79-48 in the first semi-final fixture to seal fourth consecutive final spot.
On their part, Senegal edges Mali 75-65 in the second semi-final to set a repeat of 2017 and 2019 final.

The Senegalese are the most successful side in the competition, lifting the title on eleven occasions, while the Nigerians are going for their 6th title and 4th in a row, a record hold by Senegal.
Both side didn’t just reach the final of the AfroBasket, they also qualified for the Pre-Olympic Qualifying Tournament for Paris 2024.
