Eberechi Eze Attracts Tottenham, Southampton

Queens Park Rangers of England’s Nigerian-born attacker, Eberechi Eze has attracted transfer interest from the English Premier League duo of Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton, with both clubs in a race to hook his signature in the January window.

With Eze again already on fire for QPR and his current top form further highlighted in a stunning goal last weekend, the former Super Eagles invitee could jolly well be on the move at the start of 2020, but his next port of call is still turn between a choice of either Spurs or The Saints.

A report by popular British tabloid, The Sun indicates that Southampton are keeping a close eye on the exciting 21-year-old attacker, who kept on course with his fine start to the English Championship on Saturday, as he scored one and assisted another in a 3-1 win over Wigan Athletic.

Eze put his side 2-1 up in the 61st minute before setting up an assist for Jordan Hughill to seal the win nine minutes from time, which left pundits hyping the Nigerian-born youngster as one of the current best players in the Championship and QPR will have to fight off all advances in January.

With Eze also said to be on Tottenham’s radar, Southampton have now stepped up their efforts to hook him quickly, such that The Saints’ main scout, Ross Wilson checked out the lad in midweek, as he draws up a list for new arrival at Saint Mary’s in the next transfer window.

This comes at a point in which Eze was included in’s EFL Championship Team of the Week, in which he is placed on the right side of a four-man midfield, with a rating of 8.9 marks over ten.

Eze was involved in two goals as QPR beat Wigan 3-1 on match day five, scoring his second of the season in the 61st minute before providing the assist for Hugill’s goal nine minutes from time.
