AS Roma manager, Jose Mourinho has admitted that his team will face a very strong Leicester City side when both clubs clash in the semi-final of the Europa Conference League (ECL) later this month.
Leicester made history on Thursday night after they defeated PSV 2-1 in the quarter-final second leg tie to qualify for a first-ever European semi-final.
The Foxes had played goalless in the first leg at the King Power Stadium last week.
Two goals from James Maddison and Ricardo Pereira ensured Leicester defeated PSV.
Leicester will now face Roma, who thrashed Bodo/Glimt 4-0 to overturn a 2-1 deficit from the reverse fixture, on April 28.
Speaking at his post-match press conference after Roma won Bodo/Glimt, Mourinho said: “We are going to play against a Premier League team and the Premier League is the strongest competition in the world in terms of nations.
“Leicester is a team that won titles recently and it is a team that competes every weekend at the highest level, I think they are a very strong team.
“But we are Roma and we are going to play. We have the second leg at home with our wonderful team, so we are going to try.”
