The Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, has extended goodwill and festive cheer to members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), correspondents, and other journalists through the distribution of rice and other essential items in celebration of the Christmas season.
The gesture, which took place in Benin City, was aimed at appreciating journalists for their unwavering support, professionalism, and commitment to promoting sports development and government activities across Edo State throughout the year. Beneficiaries cut across SWAN members, correspondents, and other practitioners from various federated chapels.
Speaking during the distribution, Hon. Enabulele described the initiative as a token of appreciation and a way of identifying with journalists during the yuletide season. He acknowledged the critical role the media plays in shaping public perception, promoting sports programmes, and sustaining transparency within the sports sector.
