Edo state FA Boss backs Stephen Keshi tourney organisers

Chairman of Edo state Football Association, Fred Newton has thrown his weight behind the organisers of Stephen Keshi U17 National Football Competition.

Newton pledged his full support and promised to help in different ways while making donations recently to the newly inaugurated organizing committee of the competition in Benin, the Edo state capital.

The amiable FA chairman handed balls to the committee to run the program; promising to do more when the competition kicks off proper.

The Organizing Committee Chairman, Kelvin Etemike thanked the FA chairman for his magnanimity while also calling on other well meaning Nigerians, corporate organisations, companies to emulate Newton and support the program.

“We want to thank the Edo state FA chairman for his kindness and for supporting this initiative.

“We appreciate his support while we are also calling on other well placed Nigerians to emulate him”, he said.

The competition will kick off between 17th to 20th of November , 2024, and will last for one week. Many corporate companies with some Super Eagles players have already shown interest to support the program.
