Efe Ambrose Pens Short Term Deal With Derby county, Mourns Ogunjobi

Nigeria Super Eagles defender,  Efe Ambrose has just be hooked up with Derby County on a short term deal. The deal was completed today been Monday and it was a Success.

Speaking with and Ajasa news,  the former, Celtic and Hibernian FC player said he is happy to sign for a big club like Derby. The players and manager are good together with the environment. Am happy to hook up and work with the legendary, Frank Lampard”. The defender who can play any role in the back four took time to mourn former secretary general of Nigerian football federation,  Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi,  whom he described as a father figure to him.

“It’s another new and great challenge for me signing Derby County and happy, having played in Scotland for several years.  Its a totally different challenge for me which am looking forward to prove myself. The environment  is fantastic, I have a good  manager in the person of the legend, Frank Lampard,  who believes so much in me.

I will take every opportunity as it comes in any match I play during my stay here with them. It will be my dream to see to it that the club qualifies for championship playoffs, which will afford us the opportunity to play premier league, and also using it as an opportunity to launch myself back into Super Eagles.  He stated

Unfortunately today I received with great shock the death of Chief Taiwo Ogunjiobi. It’s sad he is gone. He was a great and a good father to me.  He was always there  to advise  and pray for me.  I will miss him greatly.  The football family has lost  a great gem. May his gentle soul rest in peace. Amen. he concluded.
