Eguavoen Satisfied With Victory Over Cotton Sport

Super Eagles interim manager Austin Eguavoen is impressed with the team’s performance in their practice match against Cotton Sport Garoua aon Friday, as the Africa Cup of Nations inches closer.

SportsDayOnline.com reports that the match which was played in the city that will host the team’s group D opener against Egypt on Tuesday, saw the Nigerian team beat the opposition 2nil.

Cerezo was particularly excited with the ball possession of his boys and thinks the friendly match was very good for the team, as they look ahead to a good tournament that begins on Sunday with Cameroon tackling Burkina Faso in the curtain raiser.

Nigeria confront Egypt in the opening game of group D on Tuesday.
