Super Eagles interim coach, Augustine Eguavoen, has announced his starting lineup for tonight’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against the Benin Republic’s Cheetahs.
As expected, Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali will start between the posts. Captain William Troost-Ekong will anchor the defense at center-back, joined by Calvin Bassey and Gabriel Osho, who makes his debut in this fixture.
In the wing-back positions, Ola Aina of Nottingham Forest and Bruno Onyemaechi of Boavista will provide width and support both in defense and attack.
In midfield, Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi will control the central areas, with Ndidi offering his defensive presence and Iwobi adding creativity.
Up front, Victor Osimhen will spearhead the attack, with Ademola Lookman and Kelechi Iheanacho alongside him to provide additional firepower.
