Watford of England’s in-form attacker, Emmanuel Bonaventure Dennis may take another look at the possibility of joining either Manchester United or Arsenal next year, should either English Premier League side renew their bids worth £15m.
SportsDayOnline.com learnt that that was the amount both top clubs in the EPL reportedly offered to get Dennis from Club Brugge of Belgium this summer, but they were both snubbed by the lad’s parent club.
This much has been disclosed by Dennis’ close confidant and agent, Drew Uyi, who affirmed that United and Arsenal were keen to sign the former Zorya of Ukraine attacker, who was loaned by Brugge to FC Cologne of Germany for the entirety of last season.
However, due to Brugge’s hefty asking price, Dennis went on to force his exit and then signed pa five-year deal with the club over the summer, but, after silencing The Red Devils recently with two goals and two assist, he could be heading to either United or Arsenal next summer.
Uyi told The Football Show YouTube channel: “He was frustrated at Club Brugge, he was not happy because no young man would be if he were stopped from such opportunities.
“Arsenal were interested in the past and Manchester United were also interested, but for Club Brugge were demanding a ridiculous fee for him.
“They wanted £25m, while these clubs were prepared to pay £15m. In the end he joined Watford for £3.4m because his contract was running out.”
