Former Bayern Munich and Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has expressed interest in becoming the next coach of the England national football team following Gareth Southgate’s resignation.
Southgate stepped down from his role as manager of the Three Lions on Tuesday morning.
His decision came after England’s defeat to Spain in the Euro 2024 final on Sunday, where they lost 2-1. Southgate, whose contract was set to expire in December, opted to depart despite the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.
