Enyimba boss, Finidi bemoans poor officiating in draw against Bendel Insurance

Date:

Enyimba head coach, Finidi George, has taken a swipe at the officiating in his side’s Nigeria Premier League Super Six playoffs tie against Bendel Insurance

The eight-time champions were held to a 1-1 draw by Bendel Insurance.

Enyimba had two penalty appeals turned down in the game.

Chijioke Mbaoma was hacked down twice inside the box by Bendel Insurance defenders, but nothing was given by the referee.

Finidi cried foul over what he described as poor officiating from the center referee.

“You all can see how our penalty calls were neglected after Mbaoma was hacked down twice inside their box,”

“The officiating was poor. We deserve more from this game, but we have to put it behind us.

“We will focus on the next game, hopefully the result will be better than what we have today.”

Enyimba, who occupy the top spot on the table with five points, will take on Saturday Sunshine Stars in their next game on Friday.
