Enyimba Learnt Many Lessons In Morocco – Abdalah

Enyimba of Aba coach, Usman Abdallah says he and his players learnt many useful lessons from Sunday’s 2-0 loss away to Hassania Agadir of Morocco in the CAF Confederation Cup, and they will use the experience as a learning point for other matches in the continental competition.

Rather than be sad with his team’s inability to get a point from the away fixture, despite making adequate plans for a good result to start their group stage campaign in the second-tier contest, Abdallah posited that they have to look to the future and quickly put the setback behind them.

The soft-spoken gaffer stressed that Sunday’s loss is now in the past and that they will simply shift focus to other games, especially as he saw on Sunday what needs to be worked on in his team and ensures that they are corrected to help them win the other matches.

Abdallah stated: “We made elaborate plans for this match, and we wanted to win it, but we eventually lost. , I had the full confidence that I am going to come out victorious in this match which turned out to be that we lost but that is football.

“That is not the end, though, because we have other matches to play. We lost, but all is in the past. I have seen a lot of things that we did right and many that we didn’t do right. So that’s the only way to gain more experience so that we can apply it elsewhere.

“We learnt a lot from the game in Morocco, and we intend to return home to study the game, and see where we went wrong. We will also look at our strengths in order to build on them for the next match and others.”
