All is now set for the Semi-final showdown in the EPE divisional qualifiers of the Spires 5-Aside Naija Street Soccer Tournament.
It wasn’t a walk in the park for some of the teams at this stage of the tournament as they showed grit and resilience to come thus far. Papa SA goalkeeper Ridwan was the hero for his side as his penalty saves in the shootout ensures they defeated Toprocks FC after regulation time ended with goals on either side. In the other fixture Net Breakers FC lived up to its name as the decimated De Ultimate SA by eight goals to two (8-2).
The Matchday2 encounter at the STS Pitch in Bogije also brought about plenty of excitement the spectators. Angos Sports suffered a humiliating 6-0 lose to Peckins FC, while Olaodus FC triumph 6-5 in the shootout after regulation time ended in one goal apiece.
It’s now the business end of the tournament as the top four teams eyes a spot in the state championship. In today’s Semi-Final Net Breakers will file out against Olaodus FC, while Papa SA will lock-horns against Peckins football club. The first match is starts by 12:00 PM at the STS Pitch, in Bogije along the Lekki-Epe Express Road.
The top three teams from the EPE Spires 5-Aside Naija Street Soccer divisional qualifiers will secure their spots in the state championship and also recieves cash prizes.
