EPL: 13 top players that could leave Arsenal in summer

Date:

Names of about thirteen top players that could leave Arsenal for new clubs in the upcoming summer transfer window have emerged.

The summer transfer window provides the chance to rebalance the squad and address any glaring issues as Arsenal targets to finish top four in the 2021-22 season and qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Arsenal has a host of players out of contract in the summer of 2022 and will continue their squad rebuild when the summer transfer window opens later this year.

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has offloaded a lot of players, including the likes of Mesut Ozil, Shkodran Mustafi and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, from his squad since being appointed in December 2019.

According to Express Sport, Arteta, who has a clear plan of backing younger players with a sprinkling of experience mixed in, could see as many as 13 Gunners players depart the North London club.

The players are Bernd Leno, Mohamed Elneny, Granit Xhaka, Alexandre Lacazette, Eddie Nketiah and Hector Bellerin could leave Emirates.

Others are Pablo Mari, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Lucas Torreira, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Matteo Guendouzi, Reiss Nelson and Alex Runarsson.
