Nottingham Forest striker, Taiwo Awoniyi, scored the winner as his team beat Southampton 1-0 on Wednesday night.
The victory helped his Premier League side get out of the bottom three.
The Super Eagles frontman finished off Brennan Johnson’s pass in the 27th minute to score the decisive goal for Steve Cooper’s men.
It was Awoniyi’s fourth in the current campaign.
With this goal, Awoniyi has hit the back of the net first on four occasions in the Premier League.
It is a statistic bettered only by Manchester City’s Erling Haaland who has managed to open the scoring five times.
Forest faces Blackpool next in the FA Cup on Saturday.
