Super Eagles forward, Taiwo Awoniyi scored the decisive goal as Nottingham Forest defeated his former club, Liverpool 1-0 at the City Ground on Saturday afternoon.
Awoniyi put Steve Cooper’s ahead in the 55th minute.
The 25-year-old initial shot hit the post but he reacted on time and tucked away the rebound.
Awoniyi is now the first Nottingham Forest player to score in each of his first three Premier League starts at the City Ground.
The forward has also registered three goals in nine league appearances for Forest this season.
He was replaced by Joseph Worrall in the 64th minute.
His international teammate, Emmanuel Dennis was unused substitute for Nottingham Forest in the game.
