EPL: Barcelona identifies player to sign if deal for Chelsea’s Alonso fail

Date:

Barcelona has identified the player to sign if they are unable to complete a deal for Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso this summer.

Barcelona has been heavily linked with a move to sign Alonso from the English Premier League giant this summer.

According to Sport, Barcelona will look to target AS Monaco left-back Caio Henrique if they fail to sign Alonso.

Henrique has reportedly been identified as a plan B for the Catalan club following an impressive past season with Monaco.

The 24-year-old left-back made 49 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals while providing 13 assists for Monaco last season.

Henrique trails only Real Madrid star Vinicius (16) for the most assists by a Brazilian player in Europe’s five major leagues.

Barcelona has reportedly been tracking Henrique since his time at Atleti and he could arrive at the Nou Camp if a move for Alonso fails to materialize.
