Chelsea co-owner, Todd Boehly, is reportedly set to sign England international Jude Bellingham for the Blues in the near future.
According to Bild, Boehly has made contact with Bellingham’s father and agent to discuss a sensational move to Chelsea as the west London club look to beat Liverpool, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Manchester United for the player’s signature.
Chelsea are one of the four ‘serious’ contenders to sign Bellingham and will be willing to meet Dortmund’s stunning valuation for the midfielder if it means they are able to bring him to Stamford Bridge next summer.
Bellingham, who currently plays for Borussia Dortmund, has quickly developed into one of the most highly-rated players in Europe.
He has flourished at Dortmund, making more than 100 appearances for the Bundesliga club since his £25million move from Birmingham City back in 2020.
The 19-year-old’s form in the Bundesliga and Champions League has seen him become a key member of manager Gareth Southgate’s England squad.
Bellingham’s current contract with Dortmund will expire in 2025.
