Chelsea forward, Christian Pulisic, is unhappy with the club’s new co-owner, Todd Boehly.
According to The Athletic (reported via Metro), the situation has developed as Boehly has reportedly prevented Pulisic from leaving Chelsea on loan this summer.
With Pulisic struggling for game time under manager Thomas Tuchel, he might have been expecting a loan spell away from the Blues this summer to regain his form.
However, Boehly has blocked the American’s exit to add depth to the Chelsea squad.
Recall that Boehly took over the West London club this summer after a rushed sale by Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich.
It will be tough for Pulisic to accept as he will likely continue as a substitute player under Tuchel this season.
With the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar coming up later this year, Pulisic would have preferred to play at a club where he would have been given a bigger role.
The 23-year-old needs to keep playing regularly to develop his game before the World Cup starts in November.
