Chelsea defender, Antonio Rudiger is set for a shock move to Barcelona this summer.
Barcelona are in talks to sign Rudiger from Chelsa on a free transfer in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Sky Germany reports that Rudiger’s agent and half-brother, Sahr Senesie, was filmed meeting with Barcelona’s director of football, Mateu Alemany and his advisor, Jordi Cruyff at a hotel in Barcelona, on Wednesday evening.
Senesie spent around three hours in talks with Barcelona’s chiefs, who left the hotel close to midnight.
Rudiger’s contract with Chelsea will expire at the end of the season and the Blues are unable to offer him a new deal due to the restrictions imposed on them by the UK government following Roman Abramovich’s sanction.
The centre-back has rejected multiple offers to remain at Chelsea, the latest being a deal worth close to £200,000 a week.
It’s understood that Barcelona have also reached an agreement to sign Rudiger’s teammate, Andreas Christensen, who is also out of contract with Chelsea this summer.
