Everton manager Sean Dyche has praised Alex Iwobi for his mental strength this week.
The attacker committed a howler against Leicester City in a game the Toffees eventually drew 2-2.
He gave the ball away for Leicester’s second goal, but eventually hit the equaliser to preserve a point for his side.
Per the Liverpool Echo, Dyche said: “His [Iwobi’s] work ethic is terrific, his show of ability at times is terrific, and to react to a mistake like he did and to go and score a goal shows his mentality.
“He is a very good player. It was similar to Dom [Calvert-Lewin], Dom missed a chance and he sets up Alex. That is the mentality you want, you can’t do anything once it has gone, once it’s gone it’s gone.
“You can reflect on it afterwards but not during the game. I think that is a strong sign of people’s mentality – if they do make a mistake, how quickly they recover. Both of those players recovered very, very quickly.”
