EPL: Gabriel Jesus tells Arteta position to play him

New Arsenal striker, Gabriel Jesus has told manager Mikel Arteta his preferred position.

According to the former Manchester City man, he loves to play as a centre forward in the number nine role.

Jesus was used sometimes by City boss Pep Guardiola in wide positions.

But the Brazilian wants to be the focal point of attack for Arsenal next week.

“I’m a #9! I’m a striker and I thank God every day that I can be alive and that I can play in three or four different positions.

“But I think my position is nine,” Jesus said during his unveiling on Monday.

Jesus netted 95 goals in 236 appearances during his five-year spell at The Etihad.
