Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, was relieved following a 3-0 win at Wolves in Saturday’s early kick-off.
Jack Grealish got the Premier League champions off to a great start with a goal after 55 seconds.
Erling Haaland doubled City’s advantage with a solo effort before Phil Foden added one more goal.
Guardiola told BT Sport: “The game started really well for us with the two goals and the red card and after the Champions League to come here at 12:30 with the quality they have, they can keep the ball and transitions are fast, it was an incredible victory.
“We struggled a lot after half-time until Phil’s [Foden] goal so a lot of credit to Wolves.”
City’s next game after the international break will be at home against Manchester United.
