Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has ruled Erling Haaland out of their Champions League match at home to Sevilla in midweek.
However, he hopes to have Haaland back for the Premier League visit of Fulham next Saturday.
City’s top scorer sat out Saturday’s trip to Leicester City with a foot injury.
Summer signing Julian Alvarez started the match at the King Power Stadium in place of Haaland.
After the 1-0 win against the Foxes, Guardiola confirmed the extent of the damage the Norwegian has suffered.
“He has ligament damage. He feels better, we have one more week.
“He won’t play against Sevilla because we’ve already qualified and hopefully, against Fulham, he can help us.
“If not he might play against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup [on November 9],” Guardiola told BBC Sport.
