Graham Potter has made a promise to Chelsea midfielder, Conor Gallagher, describing the England international as a ‘fantastic’ player.
According to him, he would give the 21-year-old plenty of opportunities in the Chelsea squad that could see him make the England World Cup squad.
Gallagher scored his first goal for the Stamford Bridge landlords against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
He spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace where he became fans favourite after an impressive season-long loan.
“Conor will get his time, he’ll get his chances, he’ll get opportunities to perform,” Potter told reporters.
“Like I said, we have to try to help the team perform in a good way that all individuals can play well, and then England, that’s something out of my control.
“I really like him. He’s fantastic. First of all, he just gives everything every day, desperate to do well, desperate to play for Chelsea, desperate to be successful here, so that’s a great starting point.”
