Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand has admitted he was wrong to be skeptical about the signing of Eriksen by Erik ten Hag.
Eriksen, who helped Brentford remain in the Premier League last season, was signed by Erik ten Hag as a free agent this summer.
The Dane has returned to his customary midfield role and quickly became an essential cog in Ten Hag’s midfield engine room.
The 30-year-old was in great form for the Red Devils as they saw off Premier League leaders, Arsenal 3-1 at Old Trafford on Sunday and Ferdinand, who had earlier kicked against his arrival at Old Trafford, admitted he was wrong to have doubted the former Tottenham star.
He told Vibe: “Can I give a special, special shout out to my man of the match Christian Eriksen?
“I have to hold my hand up. I was one of those who was skeptical about the signing. It’s another signing I’m sure from Erik ten Hag, it was his decision to take him.
“At the moment you cannot argue with that decision.
“I was a bit skeptical asking what he’s going to bring, if he is going to start? Well yes he’s starting and yes he’s producing, so Eriksen I salute you.”
