EPL: Iwobi escapes relegation as Everton defeat Crystal Palace

Date:

Alex Iwobi will play in the Premier League with Everton next season, following their 3-2 comeback win over Crystal Palace on Thursday night.

The result confirmed their place in the topflight, as Burnley and Leeds United take their fight for survival to the last day.

Everton went two goals down at Goodison Park, thanks to goals from Jean-Philippe Mateta and Jordan Ayew.

However, Frank Lampard’s men fought back in the second half to clinch all three points, with Michael Keane, Richarlison and Dominic Calvin-Lewin getting on the scoresheet.

The Toffees are now four points clear in 16th place, with an away trip to Arsenal left on their fixture list.
